About GLS

Gujarat Law Society has established itself as a premier educational trust since its inception in February, 1927 with the object among others, of providing facilities for the systematic study of Law, by opening Colleges in Gujarat and Kathiawar region. The Society was set up as a result of the vision of luminaries such as Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, Shri Ganesh Mavlankar and Sheth Shri Kasturbhai Lalbhai. At present Gujarat Law Society runs three law colleges viz. Sir L. A. Shah Law College (1927), I. M. Nanavati Law College (1958) and Maneklal Nanavati Law College (1961). Since the year 1927, GLS in its quick march forward, has come a long way with 38 institutions teaching and training from KG to PG more than 38,000 students in various disciplines.

Currently, Gujarat Law Society is operating from its four educational campuses in the city of Ahmedabad. Due to its sincere efforts, positive attitude and persuasion to its mission, Gujarat Law Society has evolved into a fine fraternity of enlightened management, dedicated teaching faculty and devoted administrative staff. Over these years, GLS has won acclaim and applause for its commitment in teaching and expansion of academic horizons and the mission marches further to achieve “Excellence in Education” through various pursuits for furnishing the future of the generations to come.
